New US TV Shows this Fall (Part 1-CBS & FOX).

This is it! I feel like its Christmas already! U.S major networks: CBS, NBC, FOX, the CW and ABC recently revealed their new shows coming this fall and I must say a lot of them has promise.

Below are the list of shows with some of my “Ts” and my favourites in each network. Enjoy!

CBS

1. ELEMENTARYIt presents a contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories. It stars Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes and Lucy Liu as Watson.

*I like the fact that they update it to modern times and change things a bit (Dr. Watson= girl) I think this will be my new police-crime drama show.

2. Made in JerseyA streetwise lawyer born and raised in New Jersey joins a posh New York City law firm, where she must defend her clients while surviving her colleagues’ skepticism and her Italian family’s constant interruptions.

*I’m not actually a fan of “profession” based dramas (i.e Greys Anatomy and Good wife) but this one has potential! Its one of those shows where you will root for the underdogs and want them to succeed in the end…plus I’m impress with this breakthrough star Janet Montgomery, did I mention she’s English? I bet you didn’t notice that!

3. VegasDennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis stars in a drama inspired by the true story of former Las Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb.

*Another period show, I hope this time around it works for CBS because base on their past offerings (Pan Am and The Playboy Club) they aren’t successful with this types of shows.

4. Partners- is a comedy based on the lives of creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick (Will and Grace), about two life-long best friends (straight guy and gay guy) and business partners whose “bromance” is tested when one of them is engaged to be married.

5. Golden Boy and 6. Friend Me

*two mid-season shows; one’s police drama and the other’s comedy. No trailers yet and base on the brief descriptions not really my cup of tea.

FOX

1. The Followingcreated by Kevin Williamson (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Scream” franchise) and starring Golden Globe Award-winning Kevin Bacon (“X-Men,” “Frost/Nixon”) and James Purefoy (“Rome”), premieres in midseason. The spellbinding and intense drama follows an ex-FBI agent (Bacon) called out of retirement to track down a devious and diabolical serial killer (Purefoy), the mastermind behind a nationwide string of murders.

*this one gave me goosebumps! a strong series for Kevin Bacon’s first TV show! this is my new The Killing. I CAN’T WAIT!

2. The Mob Doctor the engrossing character drama stars Jordana Spiro (“My Boys”) as a brilliant, life-saving surgeon caught in a complex web between her promising medical career and her family’s debt to Chicago’s Southside mob.

*This one has promise. Not your usual medical drama and I like that the this doctor kicks ass! I just hope the story will be as realistic as possible.

3. Goodwin Gamesthe inventive new comedy from the executive producers of “How I Met Your Mother,” Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris, is slated for midseason. Starring Scott Foley (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Felicity”), Becki Newton (“Ugly Betty”) and Jake Lacy (“Better With You”), the family comedy tells the story of three estranged siblings who return home after the loss of their beloved father (guest star Beau Bridges, “The Descendants”), and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit more than $20 million – if, and only if, they can adhere to their late father’s trivial wishes.

*This show looks HILARIOUS! and BECKI NEWTON alone is enough for me to watch it! I love her!

4. Ben and Kate- I can’t be bother.

*Yawn…

5. Mindy Projectfeatures Kaling as a skilled OB/GYN navigating the tricky waters of both her personal and professional life, as she pursues her dreams of becoming the perfect woman, finding the perfect man and getting her perfect romantic comedy ending.

*I laughed watching this trailer! I think this one will be a hit not only because the lead’s really funny but a lot of people can relate to her character (READ: FINDING THE ONE!).

Final T!

Over all both network got a strong sets of comedies and dramas. I’m more looking forward to The Following, Made in Jersey, Partners and Goodwin Games.

how about you? what’s your bet?
